The active ingredient in Roundup is Glyphosate. Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum, non-selective, systemic herbicide used to kill weeds.
- Glyphosate is especially effective on annual broadleaf weeds and grasses that are known to compete with commercial crops.
- Glyphosate is sold under multiple brand names and in a range of concentrations.
The aquatic formulations have a considerably weaker surfactant and consequently may require additional spreader/sticker for tougher landscape weeds.
Other formulations include:

- Roundup CT 450 g/l
