Silt Fences
UV stable silt fences are woven mesh filter fibre designed to contain sediment whilst allowing drainage. Available in a range of different sizes and grades, they are ideal for use in many outdoor applications.
Suitable for construction sites, roadwork sites, and during landscaping projects, silt fences prevent site run off from flowing into waterways, onto roads, or into neighbouring properties.
The base of the silt fence needs to be buried 200mm underground and secured using either Hardwood Pegs or for a higher quality result, Steel Fence Posts.
Hardwood Pegs require three metre spacing apart before attaching the fence using staples.
When utilising steel fence posts, thread the posts with tensile wire and secure the fence using either zip ties or Jambro Ring fasteners. In order to meet Australian Standards, steel fence posts need to have end caps, which we offer round caps in bags of 100 or Triangular caps in bags of 40.
